RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

At Independent Lifestyles, our goal is to ensure that you always select the right product for your needs.However, you may occasionally receive a product that does not work for you. If you need to return an item, please review our Return Policy below.

Return Policy: Most items may be returned within 3 days of receipt to qualify for a refund. They must be returned at the customer's expense and meet the following conditions:

  • Product must be in new condition - no cracked, scratched, or dirty products will be accepted.
  • Product must be returned in its original packaging with all parts included.

There are certain products that are custom-made by the manufacturer and are non-returnable. These include and not limited to:

  • Ultralightweight or custom manual wheelchairs
  • Custom power wheelchairs
  • Custom cut curved stair lifts

For hygienic reasons, the following products are non-returnable and not limited to*:

  • Bath safety equipment
  • Shower benches, stools and chairs
  • Commode chairs

PLEASE NOTE: All returnable products that were ordered require a minimum of 20% of the purchase price as a restocking fee and any additional shipping and handling charges that occur.

Return/ Drop Shipping: Unless Independent Lifestyles made an error, return freight is the customer's responsibility.

Cancelled Orders: Orders cancelled after the item has shipped are subject to all standard return policies. If delivery of an item is refused, return shipping costs are deducted from the issued credit and a 20% restocking fee (minimum $25) will apply. Shipping costs will not be credited if delivery is refused.

Refunds: Once your return is received, Independent Lifestyles will issue a refund to the credit card used for the purchase or by the original payment method. Please allow up to 3 days for your credit to be issued. If you paid by check or money order, we would issue a check within 3 days after the customers check has cleared.

All items that leave the store will be in good working condition and checked over for any errors. If for some reason your item is defective or damaged, please call us at 434-846-7510 or email us at sales@ilifestyles.net immediately. We will arrange for the item to be repaired or replaced promptly.

*Due to health regulations, sanitary and safety concerns, merchandise that has come into direct contact with the human body or has been worn cannot be returned or exchanged.
